Test Case Management/Integration with JIRA

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts tools to use for test case management that also integrates well with JIRA. We have installed a trial of Zephyr for 5.0 which seems awesome, we just need to see if QA agrees. They purchased Enterprise Tester before really evaluating it, and frankly it seems difficult to use and like a nightmare from an administration perspective. Any experiences with these tools, or other ones you would reccommend?

I have just started on discovery for a lowcost test mgt suite --looking seriously at JIRA for defects and eventual inegration into CI (Jenkins, Fitnesse, etc).

but right now i'm looking at the Test Case management options: ie, create, alocate, execute and report test cases / test sets.

i see you mention *Zephyr* --did you carry on with that? what is t=your verdict?\

I would like to suggest a tool that I have been developing TestLodge test case management

TestLodge is a relatively new hosted tool that is designed to be a lot simpler than traditional software by only providing the essentials to get the job done well. The system focuses on helping you create your test plans, input your requirements, create and manage your test suites and cases along with allowing you to easily perform multiple test runs and generate reports.

The Jira integration has the following functionality:

- Link a Jira project to a TestLodge project
- Whenever a test case fails, automatically create a ticket in jira.
- Easily link your Jira account with TestLodge.

I am intersted in TestLodge. Does this work for JIRA onDemand version? Is there any other info about TestLodge - JIRA intergration? (e.g. blog post, etc)

Hi Miki,

Yes TestLodge does work with the onDemand version (as well as the self install version).

We dont have any blog post yet for Jira, but we do intend on creating a short video of how this works in future. For now the only addiitonal infomation can be found on https://marketplace.atlassian.com/37275 and on our tour page at http://www.testlodge.com/tour

Once you have created an account, if you go to the account tab, his will provide you with all the information that you need to set things up. (we've tried to keep things as simple as possible, so all you need to provide is some authenticaiton details and tell the tool the url of your on demand account)

Hi Once you have signed up for an account at www.testlodge.comthere is a short video at https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AzgL7i0voNswhich will show you how to link the two tools and how the integration works. Hi llya, The integration does work with both OnDemand and self hosted versions. We just can't get that part of the integration page to say this as we don't charge for it using Jira's billing system.

There is a requirements management plugin for JIRA - RMsis. This tool includes test case management as well.
