Text field for checkbox with Javascript

Hello Everyone,

there's a need in our JIRA for a checkbox type custom field which would offer a text field if one specific option selected. For example:

Yes

No

Other: of Other is selected then a text field would appear.

I heard that Javascript can achieve this, but I'm not expert in that. Could you send me a code snippet? Maybe it's an already existing feature...

Hi,

You could have 2 different custom fields (one for the checkbox behaviour and one for the text field) and you can hide show the text one based on the value of the checkbox field
