Hello,
I need help on deleting a sprint.
I am a jira admin and i have manage sprint permission though i am not able to delete the sprint. the sprint is completed.
I donot get the option to delete it.
Its strange. Please help if i am missing out something.
Thanks
I had an active sprint that had to be deleted, because we prioritized another sprint. This is what I did:

Hey,
Im also having issues deleting a sprint. My test user has product access to
- Jira Software
- Has access to the project
- Has 'Manage Sprint' permission through a Adminstrator role
- Also has the Adminstrator role assigned to the Manage Sprint permission on the Permission Scheme that this project uses.
Still can't delete a sprint. I see the comments above saying you can't delete an active sprint but as an admin I seem to be able to?
What else can I try?
Thanks

Hi @Defny
Just confirming this is how you're deleting the sprint:
^ Is the actual option missing from this list? If yes, what options do you see?

Hi Stephen,
Before start of the sprint i can able to see the Delete Sprint button on the cog icon ( 3 dots ).
After started the sprint i cannot able to see Delete sprint button.
I think for this version of Jira software server 7.3.1 this feature is not available.
Let me share your Thoughts!!
Please find attached screenshot for your understanding.

Hi @Roja Gurram
You can't delete an active sprint - you'd need to complete the sprint first (from the active sprint board) then you can delete it.

Hi @Defny ,
To delete a sprint, you must be a user with the Manage Sprints permission.

Hi @Defny ,
As @Ste Wright said, you can try the steps he mentioned.
If you have sprint management rights, but still cannot delete sprints, please check whether your scrum board contains Issues for multiple projects.
If you have the above situation, you need to have management sprint permissions for multiple projects at the same time before you can delete them.
