Receiving the following error even though I'm an admin

Field validation checks failed! Please ensure you have populated Assigned PO, Team, Epic Link

It seems that you have tried to perform an illegal workflow operation.

If you think you shouldn't get this message, please contact your Jira administrators.

Hi @Tamanna Shaikh (CONT),

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

It looks like you have a validator on the transition that is checking to make sure that the fields mentioned in the message are filled out, and you would then get the error if one or more of those fields are empty. So you could either fill out those field and then transition or you could modify the workflow condition.

Hi Tamanna,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

I understand that it can be frustrating when certain fields are missing in the Epic or linked stories/tasks. Please take note of the following fields in the Epic, Story, and Task:

- System List
- Work ID

Also, remember to fill in the Epic link and Assignee fields for Stories and Tasks.

While these fields are optional during creation, they become mandatory when changing the status. I hope this helps!
