Hi Team,
I've updated a custom field in our test environment and can clearly see that this update has been saved. However - when I review the screens that this field is assigned too, it still shows the old custom field name (also when I create / edit issues, the old field details are visible).
I've completed a reindex and also given it an additional 24 hours.
What am I missing? Can you not update custom names fields in JIRA?
Thanks,
Steve
This issue was never resolved and we ended up creating a new custom field and will look to phase the old one out.
Hello,
How did you update the field name? Did you do it in the Issues->CustomField section? If so, then your update must be visible on the screen. Kindly make sure that you do not have another "Help Center URL" field in your Jira instance.

Yes correct. But its not visible - hence the issue :) There isn't another field - just the one which I've renamed. I'll look to try and restart the instance.

Hi @Steven Pask,
Have you ever tried to remove this custom field from the screen and add it again?

HI @Ollie Guan yes I did try that - but it would only bring up the custom field with original name.
Thanks for the suggestion though.

Try restarting the service

This isn't an option for our production environment even if it does solve the problem in test.
Cheers though - may just have to look to replace the custom field as opposed to updating it.
