Hi,
we want to upgrade our Jira from 7.12 to 8.5.3 (or higher).
Is there a more recommended updated version than 8.5.3 ?
Thanks,
Miri
Hi @Miri Maimon
I recommend to choose the Long Term Realease versions.
So currently there are two 8.5 and 8.13..
8.13 is however a fresh release (8.13.0) so would recommend to wait until there would be 3 or 4 minor releases (eg. 8.13.3, 8.13.4..) that would fix biggest bugs.
In other words if you switch from 7.x you can go to the latest 8.5.x (which is 8.5.9 and should be very stable right now) this would get you going with Jira 8 and then after few months check if you can go to 8.13.x
See this page for more information about specific releases:

Hi @Miri Maimon
It is best to upgrade to the latest version. It can be seen here: https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/update
Best regards,
Eduardo

Thank you very much @Eduardo Santos !
Another question - if we upgrade to the latest version (7.12 --> 8.13.0), can we do it in one upgrade or do we need to upgrade first to intermediate release and from there to the latest release?
we are using Jira server with licenses for 500 users

This would have to be upgraded to the next LTS version, which is 8.5, and then to the 8.13.0
