So one of my customer is planning to upgrade to JIRA 7.3. They currently have:

- JIRA 5.2.8

- Confluence 5.6.4

- Crowd 2.6

- Fisheyes and Crucible 3.8.1

They are planning to have a few phases for upgrading (JIRA first, then other products).

If they upgrade JIRA to 7.3 without upgrading the other products. Will the old Crowd/Confluence/FeCru still be compatible with the new JIRA? Or will they have to upgrade everything at the same time?

There are 2 ways of checking this:

  1. You go to the Atlassian document and you check your compatibility.
  2. You install JIRA, Confluence, Crowd, Fisheye and Crucible in a staging environment, including importing a copy of your production data, and you upgrade and test. This is the way our team works at Autodesk.

Hope this helps

Claudio
