Trying to open JIRA in IE 11 Developer Preview on Windows 7 Professional, but it shows me the following message -
"Internet Explorer 7.0 is not a supported browser, and some features may not have full functionality. See Supported Platforms for more information."
So, why it's detecting the browser as IE 7 ?
All the issue seems to be fixed in IE 11 Final version released for Windows 7
compatibiliy mode is not supported:

So what should a user do with Windows 8.1 and IE11?

IE11 still doesn't work. Auto-complete of users, for instance, is still broken.

Hi Rickard, just following up -- do you still see IE 11 issues with the most current JIRA release?

Hi,
IE11 will be supported in JIRA 6.2 and a bugfix release of Confluence 5.4.x - both are targeted at the February timeframe.
OnDemand will see the changes earlier than that.
We are putting together an official announcement, which will include annoucnements for the other products.
Regards
Josh

I unchecked "Display intranet sites in Compatibility View". It resolves the message that was showing before. But the JIRA board doesn't render properly. The board is kinda squeezed with half of the area blank on the right (Work Mode).

I don't think it's turned on as I don't see Compatibility View button in the Address bar. Browser Mode is default.

Do you have compatibility mode turned on?
