Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 21:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×It used to be possible to sort subtasks within an issue by hovering over a subtask and clicking the up/down arrows. This functionality is missing in the current Atlassian OnDemand. Why was it removed? Is there a substitute?
This definitely wasn't intentional - in fact, the arrows are still there on the page but their icons are missing.
They got lost as part of the giant UI rewrite project, and weren't caught by our visual regression tests because they're only visible on hover.
They will be back in the next JIRA release to OnDemand. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks, Penny. When's the next JIRA release? I don't need a date, but it'd be nice to know whether you mean next week, next month, or next quarter.

It's planned for two weeks from today, but there's always the chance we'll have to pull the release if we're not happy with it, so I can't promise.
In the meantime, as a hacky workaround, you could add a bookmark to your bookmark bar with the following URL:
javascript:AJS.$(".streorder").removeClass("streorder")
Clicking that will make the arrows reappear on the current page until the page is reloaded.
Apologies again.
