I'm doing a search for issues. Under the "More" pulldown, there are some criteria, and the note "excluding 86 hidden". Hovering over the note shows "These criteria are hidden because they are not applicable to the current project and/or issue type." But I have selected All projects and types.
The criteria or fields may only be applicable to a sub-set of the total issue types or possibly even applicable to any one.
With projects, the field configurations and schemes should firstly apply in order to qualify related fields as applicable criteria. Secondly, how the field configurations apply to issue types dictates applicable criteria for Search.
I know the "reported by" criterion applies to all the issues, and it is not the same for all the issues. But it was not listed. The list of criteria, which is alphabetical, ended before reaching "R".

That is strange. In my instance it is the Reporter field that is applicable to all issues but I see it listed though. Worst case it should list when you begin to type it in the search text field on top of the drop down.

No, "reporter" doesn't list when I begin to type it in the search text field in simple search, but it does in advanced search.

I have the same issue. The criteria list only goes down to the "O"s. It stops at "Organizations". But if I search for "Date" it offers up "Resolution Date" and "Updated Date", both of which are applicable to my project.
