For some reason, the tasks in my project won't show up in a plan in Advanced Roadmaps (v9.4.12 Jira Data Center) unless I go though a lot more steps than other projects, like creating a release and adding the tasks to the release.
I have tried adding the entire project as the Source, a filter that returns many tasks as filter results, and a Kanban board. The issues from another project that appear on the Kanban board appear in the Plan, but not the issues in my project, and that project doesn't have releases either.
I have added Target Start and Target End dates to the issue screens and set those values for several issues. Nothing. Even when I create issues from the plan, they won't appear after commiting the changes to Jira because they aren't part of a release. This should be simple, yet I've spent several hours looking for the cause.
I do not have any exclusion rules or custom filtering in the plan. My sources contain the missing issues, and I have permission view them (I'm the project lead, a project admin, and a Jira app admin). I am viewing the entire hierarchy. The tasks I want to see are not Done.
Can anyone point me in the right direction here?
I guess I am on my own here... Is there no other way to engage Atlassian technical support now? I went to https://support.atlassian.com/contact/ and it sends me here, but this question is a week old now. I know you are busy, but so many questions sit unanswered in the Atlassian Community. It makes me sad.
