Workflow Error

Regression is required.

It seems that you have tried to perform an illegal workflow operation.

If you think this message is wrong, please contact your JIRA administrators.

I encountered an error when trying to transition an issue to the "Ready for Verification" status in our JIRA workflow. The error message is:

"It seems that you have tried to perform an illegal workflow operation."

Additionally, the message mentions that regression is required, but I'm unsure what specific issue is causing this.

Hi,

This error is definitely caused by a required field during the transition from your current status to "Ready for Verification."

First, try to find the field named "regression" in your issue and fill it with some value.

If no such field is present in the issue, go to the project settings (bottom left corner when viewing the issue). Then go to workflow editing, find the transition you are trying to perform, check the validators on this transition, and delete the validator related to the regression field, publish your workflow changes. Try to perform transition again.

Hope it will help you!
