I was wondering if it is possible to link/or duplicate some tickets from one project into another.
My organization has a JIRA and our customer would like to see issues that we are working on. We would like to create a separate project where we link or duplicate only some of the tickets from our JIRA into a viewable project for our customer.
Fairly easy to do this...
Option 1:
Clone the issue (This will copy and link it to the original) and move it to the Customer Project. Note: they are now separate and will NOT be kept in Sync automatically.
Option 2: (You want the issue that the Customer sees to mirror the original)
You create another board for the project that you will share with the Customer. You do not share any other boards with the Customer and In the project you restrict the Customer logon (or group) to view only. You can use the board query filter to select only the issues you want them to see (may need to add an additional custom field)
Hope one of these options helps.
On option 1, there's also a "clone and move" add-on which might simplify this for you.

Hi, is the cloned ticket then going to be linked "real time" with the changes in the original ticket?

Absolutely not! The point of a clone is that the issue needs to be split in two as its taking a divergent path!
