error while installing atlassian-jira-4.4

I have downloaded atlassian-jira-4.4 on my Windows 7 prof comuter. When I try to install, it gives me a error

An internal error occured (error code :34)

Log C:\users\xyz\appdata\local\temp\i4j_nlog_10.

Please guide what is the above error.

Hi Tanaya,

Iit sounds the JIRA installer doesn't have any permission ("ERROR: check ReadFile failed 0 183 66583517") to procede the installation. You can dowload it once the newest JIRA (5.1.3) was released a few days ago including 64bit version for Windows, check out at Atlassian.

I am getting the same error . I am trying to install JIRA on Windows 7 64 bit machine . Please advice .

The error message is a shade cryptic to a non-computer geek, but what it's saying is that the file you've downloaded is not the file the process is expecting and it can't work with it because it's damaged.

Try downloading it again and re-running the new copy.

Sounds like the installer is trying to do something it's not allowed to do, or is possibly corrupt. Try reading the log file it mentions, check the system events for errors, and re-downloading the installer.
