Remove an issue type

I removed all the issue types except "Production Change" from issue type dropdown but, still i can see latest ticket created issue type in the dropdown box. How to restrict this? Or is there any solution to disable the create button and throw an error for all other issue types selection?

How did your remove the issue type?

The correct approach is to remove from issue type scheme of the respective project.

Using sil script you can restrict the issue type from the create screen. Because i don't want to affect already created tickets.
