Running JIRA and want to run JIRA CORE; which ports to use?

In the server.xml file I have JIRA installed where:

Server port=8005

Connector port=8080

Tomcat is using those ports as well. And it works fine

I wanted to install JIRA CORE to see if it fits my needs better. I installed it in a separate folder in my program folder. But I cannot get it to load.

What values should I use in ITS server.xml port? And will Tomcat values stay the same?

The ports are the same whatever flavour of Jira you install.

Can you tell me where the internet shortcut for JIRA gets this URL from?

http://localhost:8100/

A config file somewhere?

Thanks.

It doesn't "get" it from anywhere.

Localhost always means "this machine I am on now".  The port 8100 is set in your Tomcat server settings as the port the Tomcat will listen on.
