Search Failure when in format something-number

When someone does a search in the format of Something - Number they recieve the error The issue you are trying to view does not exist.. This appear to be because it is looking for an issue ID instead of searching the text. for example this issue was discovered because someone did a search for the words server-1. Is it possible that if no issue ID is discovered it could perform a text search and return matching results.
