Search for specified Status Categories

hi all,

Is there a way to search for all Status Categories specified in our jira instance if i am not JIRA admin? 

I would like to use searchCategory in my query but would like ot know available categories and its details.

Hi there,

If you mean statuscategory, ie what determines the colour of the status, there is only "To Do", "In Progress" and "Done".

If you mean the statuses themselves what you could do is create a saved filter for all issues, and then create a dashboard gadget like *Issue Details* and use *Status* as the criteria. This will list all of the statuses that currently have issues in them, so it won't necessarily tell you all of the available statuses, but should get most.
