Show / Hide Field Based on a Project Role in Issue Navigator

Hi

I want to show and hide fields in the issue navigator according to different project roles.

For example

There is a custom field of type Text: QA Comment.

The role responsible for filling this field is the PM role.

QA Comments can only be searched by the PM role in the Issue Navigator.

• How can I achieve it?

By the way, I have ScriptRunner App but can't find suitable function to implement.

Currently the only way I know of to hide fields in the Issue Navigator is to go to the Field Configure settings, but that makes it impossible for anyone to find them.

Hi @Fitch_Ku ,

I had the same requirment in the past. The best way to put in place that is https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1212681/secure-fields-data-security-privacy?tab=overview&hosting=datacenter plugin.

Using this app, you can define who can view and edit a specific field based on a rule (user/group or project role). That behaviour is consistent in issue view and issue navigator.
