Show kanban column only if it has issues

Silver Ilves June 29, 2016

I wan't to have a "critical bugs" column in my kanban board between "todo" and "in progress" in order to visually emphasise that something is on fire and needs to be prioritised over normal todo-s. However 90% of the time the column will be empty. Can I configure the board so the column appears only if it has tickets assigned?

Use priority not status; and then build swimlanes on jql to pull top level priority in the first swimlane.  It's serving the same purpose - creating an area on the board where critical bugs are highlighted.  The swimlanes can be collapsed or expanded.
