So I've set up 4 stages in portfolio, I would like the work to get done in this order. I've assigned estimates in the skills under each stage. However Work is getting "done" in the 3rd and 4th stage before the 1st and 2nd.

Currently my epic has 4 stories under them, one for each stage. I was hoping to used stages to avoid having to use dependencies and make this a easy pipeline. Is that where I'm going wrong?

Hi Michael,

Typically all related stages should be part of a single story rather than 1 story per stage. The stages on a single story will be completed in order. Otherwise, separate stories are not ordered by their stages. Instead they will be scheduled like regular issues.

So in your case, we would recommend having a single story with all the stage and skill estimates, rather than having 4 separate issues.

Let us know if this works for you.

Thanks,
