I have a workflow that is created and works fairly well. I am just having an issue getting the Assignee to populate from Smartsheet to JIRA. Meaning I want to assign the task to someone in Smartsheet and have that information populate into JIRA. It worked in my initial upload of data to JIRA, but it seems that changing the assignee to someone new, does not update that change to JIRA. I do have this particular workflow set to push data from Smartsheet to JIRA only right now. Any thoughts as to why this field won't update?
I had to change people's email addresses to visible to everyone before I could do the assignment. This was done through Manage Account options under the Contact section.
Do you get an error message? I tried something very similar and received an error 'xxx@email.com' is to a valid user for the given JIRA project. There is a note in the smartsheet workflow documentation: "To use the Assignee field in Jira with a Contact List column in Smartsheet, make sure the user’s email is the same in Smartsheet as the user's Jira login." In our case it is but we use the person's actual name in both Jira and Smartsheet and this may not work.
