Unable to add subtask issue types using Excel Connector

No issues creating a standard issue type using excel connector, but when attempting to create subtasks, it gives me an error that :

Am I supposed to be able to create subtasks? It allows me to select those issue types from the excel connector issue type drop down.

Confused....

Hi Lara,

Please, check if you have 'Parent' column filled with issue key of the Parent issue.

Here is an example of task PM-7, with sub-task PM-8, and finally with attempt to create another subtask without filling up data for the parent issue. The cell should be marked with red background.

Yes, I was filling in the Parent field with the correct parent ticket #.

Again, no issues with creating a standard task, but when attempting to create any subtasks...I'm still getting this:

Would love to be able to get assistance with this as this is a deal-breaker for purchasing a license.
