Unable to log work on issue through Agile board

Hello.

After we updated Jira to 7.12.3 we have been having some issues.

One of those issues is that users can no longer log work directly on issues through the Agile board.

For example. I am in the board of an active sprint, select an issue I want to log work to, so the issue info comes up on the right hand side of the board. There I go to the three dots on the top right hand side and select "Log Work". Once I select that, it seems that jira is working, but then I just see the board in the active sprint.
