We have jira 7.6 and we would like to upgrade, it will be great if someone can help with steps: MS sql database
in case of upgrade, will affect existing scripts or configuration,
in case we have confluence, it will be affected

Upgrading Jira with MSSQL Database from Jira 7.6 to Jira 8 is straight forward.

On side note - Jira 7.6 is limited supported version so you must upgrade as soon as possible.
Thank you DPK for your answer, one more clarification i would like to ask:
1. we have 3 application : jira service desk, jira core, jira Software.
do i have to start by any specific order?
2. on level of add-on :
option1: i need to disable all the add-on before proceeding with upgrading above applications
option2: i need to upgrade all add-on then proceed with upgrade

Application order is independent. You can start/install/upgrade them as you like. I install Jira Software and then add Jira Service Desk to it.
On Add-ons, there are three possibilities,

I started with service desk, software and then core upgrades.
then after the upgrades is done the add-on's were disable so uploaded latest versions. And finally run re-indexation.
