Versions won't stick to issues.

I'm attempting to use versions to organize my agile project. I create a version and then assign an issue to that version by dragging it. When I do that, I initially see the version in the grey pill box on the issue. As soon as I refresh or leave the page and come back the version completely disappears from the issue. I click on the version filter and nothing shows up.

It also appears that the versions I had set up previously have all disappeared from issues I had assigned them to. Any ideas??

It might be permission issue. Please check whether you have Resolve issue permission in a project.

I have tried w\o and when I drag the issue into version in planning mode it does nothing.

Thanks! It did end up being a permission issue.
