I have saved a filter 

project in (CON, PAYOR, PORTALIP, PAYSUST, CONSUST, HMEM, PD) AND issuetype in (Bug, Epic, Improvement, "New Feature", Story) AND Sprint in openSprints() AND issueFunction in aggregateExpression("Total points", "storyPoints.sum()")

and calling this filter in a dashboard "Sprint Health" gadget. The query give me 370 story points while the gadget adds up to 313 story points.

Not sure why the difference. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for reaching out.

Basically, the Sprint Health Gadget returns issues of a specified Sprint that is currently appearing in your board. That being said, I believe your gadget can be displaying a different number than your query because of one or two of the following reasons:

1 - I see in your query that you have added the parameter Sprint in openSprints(). This parameter indicates that issues in any open Sprints (that met the other query details) should be returned in your query.

However, the Sprint Health Gadget can only display the details of a single Sprint you selected from a single board:

That being said, it is possible that your query is returning the issues from multiple Sprints, while the gadget is only retuning the issues from a unique Sprint in a unique board.

About the statement you added:

and calling this filter in a dashboard "Sprint Health" gadget.

It is not possible to link a JQL filter to the Sprint Health Gadget, since it only allow boards. With this statement, I believe that you have added that query to a board and them linked the board to the gadget. Have I understood it correctly?

2 - If your board does not have all the issue statuses mapped in the columns, it might not return some issues of the query and reflect it in the Sprint Health Gadget.

To check if you have all the statuses of the query properly mapped to your board, you can navigate to your board settings > Columns.

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, you are right. I have configured the query to a board and calling that board in the gadget.

I verified the status included in the board and

(1) There are no Column constraints

(2) All the status are included.

To ensure that ALL the associated sprint are taken, I modified my filter to following (specifying all the relevant sprints), still I see gap in the SPs. The query returned 373 SPs, while the board and gadget returns only 312 SPs..

thank you for providing this detailed information.

I believe you've may misunderstood the functionality of the Sprint Health gadget. Please, allow me to explain it further:

As you can see in this documentation, The JIRA Agile Sprint Health Gadget displays a color-coded bar graph showing a concise summary of the issues in a specified sprint.

That being said, the gadget will not consider all the sprints you added in your board filter (170, 2315, 2446, 2465, 2481), but only the one you selected in the Sprint field of the gadget:

That being said, I can clearly confirm to you that the gadget is only considering the Sprint you set in the field displayed in the screenshot above, returning a different number of issues from the filter you added to it.
