Hi,

We don't want to shift to the large tier. Is there any archive process includes in Jira. If we cross 25 GB disk space on cloud.

Thanks

No.  You'll need to go over your issues with attachments and delete ones you don't need any more.

Hello there!

Nic's answer is regarding the Cloud Storage Policy which does have a limit which is set by Atlassian. However, I see you asked about Jira 7.1, which is a Server version.

On the Server version of Jira, you host Jira yourself. Therefore, the storage limit is based on your server.

If you're not sure how much data your server can store, then you should speak to your server administrator. They will be able to tell you how much space they've allocated to Jira. The same would be regarding data encryption.

Let us know if you have any questions!

Regards,

Shannon

Sorry, yes, I took a guess that if someone was asking about storage, they'd be on Cloud, as server people would usually know about their disk sizes.

If, on Cloud, you go over 25Gb, Atlassian will tell you, and let you carry on, but also upgrade you to the "large" tier if you didn't bring usage down.

On server, there are no lines.  Hopefully, you've got admins who would tell you if you're getting close to a full disk.

25Gb maximum for smaller Cloud Jira systems, and 100Gb for the large ones.  This includes the space needed for the actual installation and running of the systems, so it's a bit smaller in reality.

Yes, there's encryption, but that's only one facet of security.  See https://www.atlassian.com/trust/security/security-practices
