When moving isuse to another project space, the issuetype list is not complete

jiangyu January 24, 2024 edited

Dear Supporter

When I move issue to another project space. I operate like following steps.

different move way get different result.

If I move from issue detail page:

 1. in issue page,  I chose "Move"

 2.  Chose target Project and New issue Type

But the issue Type list is not all of the issuetype which are available in target project. Only two issuetype I can chose.  I comfirm there are five standard issuetype in this project space.

Is there any idea for that?

Looking for some information

If  I  use another way, search issue page

--> bulk operation--> Move  . I  can chose all issuetype in this project. That's Why I am confused

Hi Jiangyu,

You will need to update the Issue Type Scheme used by the target/destination project to include the Issue Type that you want to move it to.

I am sorry that the answer you got before was misleading - it was generated by an AI that has no understanding of your question or Atlassian software.

John's answer is the right one - your target project needs to be configured to allow the issue types you want to move to.

Thanks for your information. But I am totally sure that the target project had configured the issue type which I want. As additional attachment in my description.  The problem is I use different operation I have different result.
