copy cascading field value into another cascade field

Hi,

I am trying to copy cascading field value of parent to into the same cascade field of sub-task while creation. I am using "Copy Value From Other Field Function for this transition".

Field A- Parent should be copied Field -A in sub-task while creation.

This is not working. If the sub-task is created, the field value is not inherited from parent. Or else the sub-task itself is not getting created. In the logs i could see the error unable to copy the field value of type cascading.

Please let me know how to copy the cascading field value.

Thanks,

Krithica

Hi @G Krithica ,

Using Create on Transition add-on you will be able to copy any type of custom field values from parent issue to subtask at the time of creation.

https://bobswift.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CSOT/pages/444366853/Workflow+Post+Functions+of+Create+on+Transition+-+7.x you can have a look for more configuration details.

Regards.
