We have a number of projects that have email servers and services setup. 12 of these work but 2 do not.

The test connection works for the 2 that done seem to be working.

The service is setup the same as the others.

When I email these two email accounts, the jira email service does not seem to pick up on the new email and open a new issue.

How do we see what is going wrong? I have looked at the logs and dont see anything.

Thanks

Hi Lance,

Looking at the JIRA side first, wonder if the permission schemes are wired up correctly, you have 10 working, so any difference in the last2?

Whats different from the server perspective with the problem servers?

Have you validated connection credentials using a mailclient?

I guess you've tried hooking a correctly working handler to a new POP/IMAP? server and its not working? Probably need to create a standalone JIRA to debug, enable mail logging as per http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Logging+email+protocol+details then check logs. The cause of your problem should be there.
