how to add a "Text Field" type "Custom field" to "Statistics Type" in Workload Pie Chart

We have a custom field of type Text Field. I want to add it to "Statistics Type" in pie chart. when I'm trying to add its not showing the Text Filed type Custom Fields in the Statistics Type dropdown list.

Can any one suggest me regards this.

While I have not tried this I'm quite sure this would not work and I can't see how it makes sense. the text is free form field and can have anything in it which means that in practice the chances of having more than one issue w/ the exact same text is statistically very small. Of course this would be heavily influenced by the number of people entering text.

@Jack Brickey we have a Costume Field (AIERuleName) Text Field type , if i select my custom in the Statistic Type I will know that my issue how many times its triggered in a month in pie-chart Gadget.

Jack is right.  Atlassian have not implemented this because it's useless.  A text field holds unregulated free text, and each and every entry could (and often is) different.  This makes it useless in pie charts and statistics, because all you will ever get is 1 entry per issue.

I'm not sure I understand the requirement here either.  What are you doing when you say "triggered"?  Are you trying to count the volume of issues that have a particular value?  Or something else, like the number of times action X is performed on an issue?
