Hello,
I have a question regarding the fields associated with a issue type.
We have the issue type: "Automatic Notifcation" with the specified fields and workflow"
We are using this for 5 projects. However 1 project is a little different and needs more fields / validators in the workflow. If I edit this for the issue type, it will be changed for the remaining 4 project as well.
What is the best solution to fix this and have 1 different type?
When creating a new one, I also need to give it a different name which would not be nice.
Best Regards,
Mitch
Without using any add-ons, this is standard functionality.
Give the project that is an exception its own workflow and issue type screen schemes. This decouples it from the other projects, and you can then set it up with different workflows and field settings.
I've just came across this and it works!
It's a lot of work though to copy the fields and rename them to something else (The screen etc.) but when done, it's working fine!

Yes, it can be a bit of a slog copying and changing things, but at least there is a copy function for most stuff, and copying is faster than doing it from scratch every time.
There are a few "copy project" functions in various Apps in the marketplace which may be worth a look if you're going to be doing this a lot.

Hello @Mitch Wiemans ,
Yes. There is a solution. You can add required fields on screen which is shared with 5 projects but later, You can restrict according to Project using script runner functionality(Behavior).
Please refer related KB for your reference.
