Good day:
Today i was playing with export/import to csv and ive found this issue:
1) i create an issue (project management)
2) i export that issue ( issues->search->export to csv(current fields)
this is the export:
Issue Type,Issue key,Issue id,Summary,Assignee,Reporter,Priority,Status,Resolution,Created,Updated,Due Date
Task,PT-1,10000,TEST REQUEST 1,apavez,apavez,Medium,To Do,,08/Apr/19 3:40 PM,08/Apr/19 3:40 PM,30/Apr/19 12:00 AM
3) now if i try to import that same CSV ( i first deleted the issue)
i get this:
Those two fields , which are important for me, cannot be imported because they dont exist.
So my question is:
Do i need to create those fields as custom fields?
why these fields are not a default for all projects? why then the export, export them if they cannot be imported back?
the created, due date, are an important part for any ticket.
regards
Hi @Aaron Pavez
What happens when you try importing the CSV with this information;
Issue Type,Issue key,Issue id,Summary,Assignee,Reporter,Priority,Status,Resolution,Created,Updated,Due Date
Task,PT-1,10000,TEST REQUEST 1,apavez,apavez,Medium,To Do,Unresolved,08/Apr/19 3:40 PM,08/Apr/19 3:40 PM,30/Apr/19 12:00 AM
Thanks
Hello:
Same problem. i think the problem is not the data , its the Issue->Import data from CSV
I did the import using the "External System Import" under System and i did it with no problems.
I think the problem is the import data from CSV under issues , that option its restricted to which fields you can import.
Maybe its important to let customers know if they use that option its limited to some fields, and the external system import (as admin) can and its the only way to import all the fields.
