Hi

My goal is to selcet tasks and sub tasks from some epics

The following query works

( status = "To Do" OR status = "In Progress" ) AND ( parent in (TEST-4554, TEST-4553, TEST-3637, TEST-4552, TEST-4538, TEST-4550, TEST-4551))

Now if I would like to have something more dynamic, I would like to select directly from a dynamic pool of epics.

Make a filter "myEpics"

project in (TEST) AND issuetype = Epic AND labels = NiceLabel ORDER BY priority DESC, updated DESC

And then run the query in the following way

( status = "To Do" OR status = "In Progress" ) AND (parent in (filter = "myEpics") OR "Epic Link" in (filter = "myEpics"))

It is not working, I think because (filter = "myEpics") is not evaluated first and it doesn't return a list

What do you think about?

Thanks

Hi @Gennaro Zazo

I'm afraid it's impossible to do this with system tools. You can try Scriptrunner, check out this question: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Feeding-filters-into-other-filters/qaq-p/1118145
