Hi,

We have a proxy that runs apache in a DMZ.

Behind the firewall, we also have apache boxes, and the tomcats, etc.

Does it make sense to have the additional apache boxes, or would it suffice to have proxy talk direcly to Tomcat?

For example:

DMZ Proxy (Apache) --> Internal Apache --> Internal Tomcat

vs.

DMZ Proxy (Apache) --> Internal Tomcat

I'm not an Apache guy -- but it seems weird to have 2 layers of Apache.

Tips appreciated.

Both can be done, but I would recommend to keep it as simple as possible. If you feel that you don't need to have an internal apache as well, I would leave it out. I also recommend reading the instructions: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Integrating+JIRA+with+Apache

Good luck!
