restrict clone on link type

Ha B_ August 16, 2024

Is there a way to prevent certain link type from being cloned? Say, I create a link type ABC, and I don't want any link of this type being cloned when I clone an issue.

Thanks

Hi @Ha B_

In Jira, the default behavior when cloning an issue is that all links associated with the original issue are also cloned. Unfortunately, Jira doesn't provide a built-in option to prevent specific link types from being cloned.

As a workaround, please check the following post

Thanks Samuel. Unfortunately, those are not what I need. I need the clone to be performed on most of the link kinds except for the one I create. I wonder if there's any event that we can use scriptrunner to manipulate the list of links to be created.
