structure gantt undo changes

hi,

 

many of our users complaining that they can not revert back changes they did while working on the strucutre gantt. we aware of the sandbox of the gantt, but this is not the case..

it happen a lot that they are doing changes on the actual plan, and after few changes they want to revert back few actions... i know this is not supported OOB by structure, but does anyone has an idea how to implement/develop such capability?

Hi Erez,

Are you referring to the third-party plug in Structure? Or a built in tool by Atlassian

If the former, even thought there maybe some users of the tool in the community, it is usually best to open a ticket with the vendor directly. There are hundreds of plug ins for atlassian products, maybe thousands if not more. Kind of like the app store on your phone. So while you may find someone in community to answer your question, sometimes it can take a lot longer than reaching out to the vendor.

Hello @Erez Marcovich 

It is indeed not possible to revert multiple changes in order. Structure only stores the very last made change(including changes made on a Gantt chart) and you can undo it by clicking the 'undo' button in the bottom-left corner. As for accessing the history of changes - I'm afraid there is nothing we can recommend here since Structure doesn't store any issue-related historical data that can be accessed here.

What you're describing can be done with the Sandbox functionality; and if you don't want to use it, the Baselines feature can potentially be useful - you can save the state of the chart before starting to work with tasks and then compare the chart's current state with the baseline. If needed, you can update tasks to set their scheduling in the same way as it was earlier.
