view a field while working on workflow

Dear members, i am editing a workflow and i have added few transition states. Now in one of the transition, i want to add a condition that at source state, a field must have an entry before progressing to the destination state. To do so, i am using validators at that transition state. But that perticular field is not appearing in the validator dropdown.

I nevigated to "fields" on left panel and can see that field being present. Not sure how to bring that field in the drop down to progress further.

Pls assist if anyone has faced similar issue.

@Ashwin Pandagre Add fields in issue type screens where the workflow is used. Also add it in screen used in the workflow screen. 

Example: If Workflow-A is used for issue type "Bug", then add required fields in screen used for "Bug" issue type.
