what are these component icons? and how do you remove them?

It seems that you may have run into this issue, if you're on Jira Cloud:

• JRACLOUD-67984

If you set the components in the X-Axis as displayed on that bug, the problem will not occur.

Could you have a look at that bug and confirm if setting to X-Axis stops the problem? If so, please vote on the bug to show that you are also affected and feel free to comment with your feedback.
