Description
The JIRA Administrator is a part-time, fully remote position responsible for enhancing and maintaining SMG’s Atlassian platform, including Jira Service Management, Jira Software, Confluence, and Opsgenie. SMG is currently on the Server platform and migrating to Data Center later this year. The Jira Administrator role is part of the Operations team working cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, Client Service, and Internal Support teams to help improve the efficiency of our product and service delivery processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain the production and development Jira environments
- Work with internal stakeholders to enable custom issue types, workflows, fields, dashboards, and reports
- Create and manage JIRA project components, including but not limited to project workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
- Ensure system stability and availability and address internal and external user issues in a timely manner
- Work closely with the process improvement team to enhance the workflow of daily tasks to drive improvements in team efficiency
- Respond to support requests for permissions and other internal needs
- Administer the Opsgenie implementation while assisting internal users with permission, scheduling, priorities, and more
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Experience and Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a JIRA administrator in Server or Data Center platforms
- Experience configuring JIRA workflows for agile and service delivery environments
- Proficient with scripting post functions, triggers, conditions, validators, etc.
- Skilled with JQL for creating filters, dashboards, boards, etc.
- Experience administering Opsgenie for on-call rotations
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Must have a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills
- Possess the ability to work with diverse teams and communicate effectively
- Confluence administration experience a plus
- T-SQL and HTML experience a plus
