Automation Help for multiple triggers in one form.

Jeff Bolin January 31, 2018

I have a form I've created and I need some help with the automation.  I need it to go like: When a radio button "No" is changed to "Yes", it triggers a custom email to specific users.  After that when a different radio button on the same form is changed from "No" to "Yes" it triggers a different email to different users.  I've had no luck getting this to work.

If you could, please give me specific instructions on the best way to do this.

Hi Jeff,

You should be able to achieve this with 2 rules (one for each radio button).

Your rules would look like this:

  • Trigger: Field value changed (and select your radio field)
  • JQL condition: "radio button field" = Yes
  • Action: Send e-mail

Hope that helps! For more info see our docs:

Cheers,

@andreas - Thank you very much for getting back with me.  After two days of google searches, trying what I thought to be logical and nearly pulling my hair out...  I figured out the exact steps you gave me.  3 simple steps...  (to be fair, I'm also a support technician, so trying to work tickets and making Jira forms and confluence pages) I think I need to go home and have a drink, lol.

Much appreciation!

Jeff
