Barcharts for JIRA not working with custom fields

We recently upgraded to 7.13 and since the add-on barcharts for JIRA is not working properly. I was able to fix the initial issue we had but not the add-on only works with JIRA defined fields ( ex. status and issue type) if I try to use any custom fields it give me the follow error "An internal server error occurred when requesting resource". Can anyone help me with this ?
