Can you globally replace a page name in multi-excerpt macro?

We'd like to use the multi-excerpt plugin macro to extract information from user forms and include it on formatted pages. The formatted pages could include dozens of excerpts, and the user form would be based on a template, so the page names would be created when the template is instantiated. Because the MEP macro has hard-coded page names, we need a way to globally replace the template's page name with the actual page names set by the user. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to do this? (We are using Confluence 5.1.2.)

We initially wanted to use the Scaffolding plugin, but we need to include JIRA macros and other types of content in the input forms, and Scaffolding has too many limitations and quirks. The multi-excerpt macro works perfectly for our purposes, except for the literal page name. (Replacing it manually for dozens of excerpts is impractical.) We were hoping there was a way to say reference a variable that referred to the page name that we could reference in the macro, instead of a literal value.

Although we realize our particular use for the macro isn't typical, I think a global replace feature would be useful for everyone, given that if someone changes the name of the excerpt page, the macro no longer works.

It looks like the Source Editor plugin, with its global search and replace feature, should solve this problem.
