Disable Jira-gerrit plugin on a per project basis

We have a JIRA instance where some projects use gerrit and some do not. We installed the jira-gerrit plugin but now all issues on all projects do show that they have no gerrit associated (new fields, new views). Is there a way to restrict the jira-gerrit plugin to only some projects?

We have the same situation when we use several source code repositories and trying to find a way how to enable / show gerrit information only for certain projects where it applies to not confuse users.
