Does view tracker gets information from the past?

Ernesto Pin January 16, 2017

Is it possible to determine statistics for page s that were not accessed after the plugin's installation? Do you have an API to retrieve information from my own add-on?

The problem is that I've been requested to investigate if I can get page-view statistics that may help me on deleting old, unvisited pages.

Hi Ernesto

The Viewtracker is only storing data since the addd-on was installed and the macro is placed on a page.
So I think this doesn't fulfill your need, but for completion you can find a datastructure documentation here:

Maybe you like to invest some time into the Archiving add-on by Midori:

Cheers

Thanks a lot Oli! It's nice to see a supporting community working smile

In case we would move forward with viewtracker, is it possible to read this data-structre from my own custom plugin to delete "old" pages?

I know that's like asking you how the plugin it's done, but, can you give me a hint on how do you intercept page access to track it?

Yes you can, but you need to execute plain sql in your add-on smile
