Example of pass-through user macro

Does anyone have an example of what the code would be for a pass-through user macro to support old tables using the table-plus macro? My organization is not willing to purchase the table-plus paid plugin, but we made extensive use of it in the past (mainly for column sorting, etc.)

fyi, column sorting is now built into Confluence normal tables, at least version 5.1.2
