GItHub for Jira: How soon should I expect organization syncing to complete?

Greetings,

I installed the GitHub for Jira (both on Jira and GitHub as I was prompted to do so), and added two organizations.  The organizations show up on the post-install configuration page (https://harmonyone.atlassian.net/plugins/servlet/ac/com.github.integration.production/github-post-install-page), but their Sync Status has been stuck at “PENDING” for 10+ minutes.  Clicking the Retry icon seems to have no effect.

Is this expected?  How long does the initial syncing supposed to take?

• PENDING - Synac has not started yet.
• ACTIVE - Sync is in progress, but no results will be visible in JIRA.
• COMPLETE - At leasy one sync cycle has completed. You should see results in JIRA now
• FAILED - Not documented, but it appears to be a possible state

The guidance appears to be that a sync should not take longer than 5 hours. My org's initial sync has been ACTIVE for more than a day, so I'm guessing something went wrong and I'll need to start troubleshooting.

@Eugene Kim I have the same question. Let me know if it eventually syncs for you.

I initially installed it with the old DVCS still in place and sync status stayed on pending for about 45minutes before I decided to completely remove old config and re-install the new github add-on. I still see "pending" but will leave it be for a while and see what happens.

FYI - mine eventually started showing as sync complete (I stopped keeping tabs on it, so it took anywhere between about 8 & 24 hours. However, I don't see anything in our jira tickets showing git commits or PRs. Hoping I can still return to the old DVCS system....

I changed the Repository access in Github (Settings / Installed GitHub Apps / Configure) from 'All repositories' to 'Only select repositories' and the sync status changed from pending to active.

I'm having the same issue - we didn't previously have DCVS set-up. I've got the apps set-up on both ends and, like you, it's been 'PENDING' for almost an hour. I tried switching to specific repositories, but that didn't have a quick impact. I'm hoping it's just taking time to complete the process!

Is this working smoothly for any of you now?
