Please note: I am not a developer!
Currently we have a business process that means our Project Managers create a VP and then when they are ready for this to be passed down to teams to work on they will create an Epic.
In turn we then add stories/tasks linked directly to the EPIC.
The link between Epic and Story is clear because you have to add an Epic Link when creating story/tasks, however we need a link between the Epic and VP.
Is it possible to add in a unique Link between VP and Epic (one to many) so that we can see the hierarchy? We are using the Parent Link field for a Project ID but this is not a safe or defined way of linking them.
Ideally the option of saying Create Epic from the VP (in the same way you Create SubTask from Story) or have the same type of Link to VP when creating an EPIC.
Lay persons terminology would be appreciated! Thanks very much.
