I am using JMWE for Jira Cloud and trying to add a post function on the Create transition in one of my Service Desk workflows. When a user creates a new service desk issue, I want to add all of the organizations I have configured for that project to the list of shared organizations for the issue. (The goal being that all users across all organizations will be able to search and view the issue since is will be shared with everyone.)
I am trying to use the obvious Set Field Value function and I have selected "Organizations" as the field to update, however I am struggling with getting the list of organizations formatted correctly in the "value" field. I'm obviously inserting an array of data, but every way I have tried has failed miserably. Up until now I've been fairly successful with Nunjucks and getting results, but this one has me stumped and frankly I don't want to continue to spin my wheels. Can anyone offer some suggestions for the Value?
I was originally using each company department as an Organization. My work around was to only use one organization and then add a custom field on the form to identify the reporter's department. (I use the JMWE user properties to assign each reporter to their corresponding department so that the "department" field is auto populated.) This allows me to share all issues across the main organization for everyone to see, while still providing reporting by department.
Not sure if this will solve your dilemma as well, but it seems to work for us. Good luck!
